Chalet Village | Hot Tub | Close to Ober Mtn

Thula Chalet is a stylish remodeled A-frame built in the 1960s located in the Chalet Village area in Gatlinburg. Come enjoy all the Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg have to offer while relaxing in the hot tub or lounging on the sofa. You will have access to all three pools in the Chalet Village.

Our cabin is nestled in the beautiful Smoky Mountains and convenient to skiing, shopping, hiking, fishing, restaurants and all of the outdoor activities that Gatlinburg has to offer.

This cabin sits just off Ski Mountain Road and is just a short drive to the national park. If you are into winter sports, snow skiing or snowboarding, this cabin is just .6 miles from the Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort, as well as 3.5 miles to the heart of downtown Gatlinburg and entrance to the Smoky Mountain National Park. Another amenity this cabin offers is access to Chalet Village Owners Club. There you can enjoy three large, seasonal swimming pools, a kids pool, tennis courts and a small gym. The South Baden pool is just 0.4 miles away. We provide towels for the pool (the blue and white striped ones).

Guest access: You will have private access to the entire home, including the outside space. We provide a set of starter supplies to allow you to get settled when you arrive. They include trash bags, dishwasher pods, a paper towel roll, a small liquid dish soap bottle, toilet paper, shampoo, body lotion, body wash, conditioner, towels and bed linens. They are designed so that you are all set when you arrive but not to last the entire trip if you visit for more than a few days.

There is a park style charcoal grill outside. Please bring your own charcoal.

** There are bears in the area that walk through the cabin property frequently. Beware of any bears you may encounter - they may look cute, but they are dangerous. Never feed or approach any wildlife.

** Make sure to keep your cars locked and windows closed. Bears can open car doors and they climb into cars if windows are left open. Bears roam the area looking for food. They generally run away if you make a loud noise. In order to reduce their presence, please remember to not leave food outside on in the cars.

Free parking is available in the driveway for up to three vehicles. Street parking is not available.

You will receive a door code via email for easy access to the property the day prior to your check-in.

Minimum renter age is 18.

Renters will be required to complete a POC form and sign a lease agreement.

Check-in time is 4 pm, and check-out time is 10 am. Due to our cleaning schedule we are unable to accommodate early check-in and late check-out.

Before you leave, we ask that the following items be completed to help our housekeeper quickly prepare for the next guest: Please empty the refrigerator and take all trash outside to the bear-proof receptacle and load all dishes into the dishwasher and run it. Thank You!

The hot tub is ready for you and should be set no lower than 100 or more than 104 degrees at all times. The hot tub is drained, cleaned, and refilled for every stay. It takes a few hours to reheat after cleaning, so you may need to give it a little time after you arrive to heat with the cover on if it is not yet as hot as you like it.

We also contract regular monthly pest services which treat for all pests from multiple types of bugs, mice, etc. Despite our regular treatments, given the proximity of the cabin to the park, it is possible these pests can temporarily enter the cabin.

The best way to get around is by a car.
Ober resort is just 2 mins away. From Ober you can take a tram straight to Gatlinburg downtown. Lines can be long during peak seasons. But the views are worthwhile!
